The Carib Great Race 2004 is one of the world's longest and riskiest powerboat open-water events. Just finishing this race warrants kudos for endurance and having some level of insanity... kidding. Most of the boats participating in this year's Great Race were on display at the Grand Bazaar. Carib Brewery, title sponsor for GR2004 took advantage of the opportunity to show off some of their hot new merchandise, worn by the ever popular Carib Girls... Just for you, we've got this picture as a 1024x768 downloadable. Sigh, what would we do without Carib...
The Trinidad & Tobago Karting Club made their presence known at the GR2004 Powerboat Showoff by setting up a mini karting course for youngsters to practice on some lawnmower-engined prototype karts. The real karts spent the day under the tents being looked at and sat in.
These lovely (and co-operative) supporters of the boat Rage (C-1) pose with owner Ghany sporting their rage tops and Ts for all to see. Rage is powered by twin Blue Thunder inboard engines.
Next stop, parked alongside Rage is Mr.Solo Too (M7) sponsored of course by Solo Beverages is now lubricated and co-sponsored by NP UltraTEC fully synthetic oil and NP's new ULTRA range of lubricants. With closed canopies and inboard power, this catamaran (dual hull) looks like a bit of a Jet and certainly runs like one!
