A bevy of beauties from BMW – updated 3, 6 & 7 series cars and the brand new 6 are introduced.

BMW, the ultimate driving machine... times four. Following last month's introduction of the dynamic and youthful 1-Series, Bavarian Motors Limited invited invitees to the launch of not just one, but four new cars.

The three series has been thoroughly revamped although just by looking at it you would detect seemingly minor changes in styling. The more you look at it though, the more you see them. This is practically an all new three made with the same winning ingredients– Iconic styling, mid-range pricing, brilliant driving dynamics, good fuel economy and compact seating for four. Engines vary from the humble 1.8 litre four cylinders to the turbine smooth 3.0 litre straight six. The 2.0 litre turbo four cylinder turbo-diesel is also now available for our market.

The new 7-series was perhaps a bit to edgy for older tastes and BMW has made all bodyline creases gentler to the eye. Engines start with the 3.0 six cylinder and go all the way up to the 6.0 litre V12. All 7-Series models now come with BMWs six-speed automatic transmission which promises improved fuel economy along with stronger passing power. The 7-Series remains the BMW flagship luxury model and the available feature list is immense as it is impressive.

The star of the show however, was the sexy new 6-Series. A sporty grand touring coupé that comfortably seats four adults that enters the lineup with a 3.0 litre straight six engine. We also learned that a 500hp 5.0 litre M version will soon make it's worldwide debut. The new 6-Series seems worthy of such an engine and promises to be an enchanting precision driving machine– perhaps the M6 will be the ultimate.

BMW is clearly on a roll with these latest models, each one an icon in it's class.
