this morning when i tried to start the car, the car tubled perfectly, but when the key was released, the car shut off. i tried and tried and still nothing. afterwards i started the car and before it got a chance to shut off i gave it some gas and it would stay running only if the gas pedal was being pressed, even just a little bit. after some poking about the engine bay the car started perfectly, though i aint know what i do yet i jus touch wires an removed the air filter for a bit.
so im heading up the road and upon slowing down for a traffic light the car shut off. i immediately started the car made a U turn and headed back home, having to keep the engine revving at least slightly even when slowing down or at a stop. im sure i eat away half my brakes today just cuz of that crap. it was suggested by 2 persons that i adjust the accelerator cable in the engine bay a little to 'turn up the idle' i had it done and the car worked fine for a min or 2 of driving, then started fainting out n then catchin back itself till i reached the corner by my house n then cut off- same problem came back
the electrician/music man (spoon) sugested that a sensor may be bad and that i get a diagnostics check done. where can i get the diag check done, or, how do i dump codes from the ecu? the engine is a qg13de, automatic.

im located in arima so the closest place possible since i hadda drive funny to not b cuttin off all over the place.

PS yesterday i had the spark plugs changed and a 0 gauge ground wire added battery-chassis. there was a bit of oil in the number 4 spark plug bay, not on the plug, but at the top where the cover screws in. there was also something looking like oil on the air intake filter. today is the first time i've come across this problem with the car
