Hey boys and girls, Im sort of deciding if to sell my EVO 5 GSR but I thought Id ask around to see if its really worth selling it as its such a good little car. The best combination of daily driver and weekend warrior.

(PIC .. when it's clean)

The car is a 1998 with 67,000 kms on the clock.

Im not really sure if I want to sell it but I was hoping that those parties interested would give me an idea on what kind of price youre willing to offer for it. PM me Offers if you like or call 686-4488 (borrowed phone ..long TSTT story).

This car was purchased by the original owner as "NEW" from Diamond Motors (Power Windows, AC, Power Mirrors, ABS, AYC disabled for LSD) and has mild mods.

MODS
EVO 6 Intercooler
EVO6 Gear box and LSD rear
Twin Disc Clutch good to 450-500 hp
3 inch cat-back exhaust
Haltech Air/Fuel Monitor
GReddy Turbo timer
GReddy boost controller
EVO7 17 wheels
TOYO RA-1 Race tyres 235-45-17
HKS Super Sequential BOV (very loud and has a progressive release mechanism).
I just installed new cross-drilled and Slotted rotors and new semi-race disc pads ( 300 kms on it)
There is currently no music installed.

I did the inspection last week and it is good until October 2007 and is serviced by CRISM.com

I took it to Wallas to get an idea of how well it was running and posted a 13.5 secs with a lazy roll off the line pull. Im sure if I had the guts to launch it hard it would run a 12.9ish
to a very low 13.

The price would be negotiable and if need be ie I can removed the electronics and BOV/Rotors etc and bring back the car to its factory condition (except for the exhaust) and work that into the price to make it more attractive.

I know it may be a big mistake to sell my car as there really arent very good options for a replacement car .. in the same sort of class out there..

So.. what kind of reasonable price can I get for this puppy ?

Let me know.

Start and finish... You will not get the true value of your car!
Average E5 for sale for $95k (San Fernando.)

A few questions please...
:::: E6 box and rear LSD... What final-drive ratio? What model (GSR/RS & year) is E6 box and LSD?
:::: Milage... less than 42000 miles in 7 years (1998)? Like you only drive this on special weekends!
EVO7 17 wheels...
:::: Did these change the "feel" of the steering (slightly heavier?) at all due to different offset?

Standard E5 already has "10.5" turbo... one of the best stock turbos available.
Hardly 'mild' mods with Haltech A/F and Greedy boost controllers... Cool
On top of that you have a rear LSD? Strength and consistent handling?... an' yuh sellin'??

Cautious 'launch' and 13.5 -mile? (Good stock Evos run those times AFAIK)
12.9-to-low 13's? Maybe with boost turned down. Sounds like mid-12's with "wick" turned up! Laughing

From what you say with that low milage and times car sounds in great condition...
Did something "break"? Why the hell are you selling it? Rolling Eyes

:::: Re-map ECU (Vishnu Racing in USA) or upgrade....
:::: Add mild-duration "high-lift" cams...
(No, forget HKS... PM me.)
How does 350-375 hp (flywheel... minimum) sound Question
BTW change clutch to Exedy 'Cerametalic' twin-plate... period! Yup $10,300TT before duty!
Itz a bitche but worth every cent... 'soft pedal' and will last for more than THREE YEARS!
You know you can't replace that performance for the selling price...
I wish I could afford some of the things you have already.

I don't really care what other EVO's are selling for .. my car is a good buy and some lucky SOB will get it.

Too much ting to respond to.. call me if anything.

I work overseas .. as in around the world.. I am usually only in the country for 3-4 months per year...hence the low miles.. I put 15,000 kms on my RX7 and I've had that since 1998.

NO, I'm thinking of getting an EVO 8 MR .. that's why I am thinking of selling my car

Not interested in upgrading the EVO any more than it is .. I already have a drag car RX7 project .. and to run a 13.5, I think my car is in that hp range you quoted.. especially with a lazy launch.. but no 4wheel dyno in TnT

That's the exact clutch in the car right now.. I forgot to list that .. remind me .. I may have forgotten to list other stuff too..

Not even with an 8 MR ???
