Tokyo, Apr 9, 2008 (Diginfo) - The SHOEI J-Force III helmet was designed with a more enhanced aerodynamic form while maintaining the design aspects and compactness of the J-FORCE series. A perfectly flowing form was achieved by combining the newly designed shell with each of the parts.

Of the new helmet's various features, the Aero Edge Spoiler has a particularly strong impact. The streamlined spoiler, which inherits the DNA of SHOEI's top racing model, gives the J-FORCE III a rich curved line and provides a strong air rectifying effect. As a result, the aerodynamics of the J-FORCE III are dramatically improved, and lift and drag which are felt when riding at high speeds with conventional open face helmets, are dramatically reduced. Equipped with the vortex ventilation system which uses a negative pressure effect to create a high level of exhaust efficiency during riding, improving it by 20%.

The shell is designed with SHOEI's unique AIM structure, which is a rigid, lightweight shell structure created through composite layering of glass fibers and 3D processed organic fibers.

The new helmet is available in 6 sizes from XS to XXL and comes in 7 colors. The base price is 42,000 yen.

While there is no doubt that Shoei is one of the top helmet manufacturers, I'm strongly against those open face helmets. It's probably suited for the smaller commuting bikes in Japan....
