The Chevrolet-team expresses concerns over the coming World Touring Car Championship race at Puebla in Mexico. The race is being held at high altitude, something that Chevrolet-driver Alain Menu is concerned over.
"The race will be very interesting politically. The diesel cars will certainly have a big advantage in Mexico," said Menu.

According to the previous double BTCC-champion it is almost impossible to overtake the diesel-powered SEAT-cars because of driving tactics.

"The diesel-cars can go slowly through the corners and then just stamp on the gas at the exit and immediately take four or five car lengths," said Menu to Motorsport Aktuell.

Chevrolet Motorsport Boss Eric Nve agrees with Menu and feels that the balance between the petrol powered cars and diesel powered cars are out of line.

"We have to make our cars as good as possible. But it is very difficult as the regulations have not changed for the diesel cars and they are just too fast," said Nve.

It must be very difficult to find an equivalency formula for the diesel and petrol powered race cars. No one ever comes out happy.
