Porsche are legends of the sportscar and GT racing world. They dominated through the Group C era and after the demise of that era, the German manufacturer could not settle for second.

After seeing how McLaren used the rules to create the giant killing �F1� Porsche wanted to do the same. They did not want to let the GT racing that was the mid to late 1990s go by without a legendary Porsche.

So they created the 911 GT1 � a great car in its own right. This four and a half minutes of YouTube video will take you through the history of the GT car from early inception to some of its highlights on the track.
