Seat is planning to launch its next-generation Ibiza compact in the next twelve months but before the redesigned hatch arrives officials will be displaying a new concept that�s said to preview the upcoming production model. The new concept is called the Bocanegra at will be appearing at this week�s Geneva Motor Show.
The new Ibiza will be offered in both three and five-door variants and will feature a toned-down version of the chiselled styling of the Bocanegra concept. Underneath the new sheetmetal is Skoda Fabia running gear, which means a range of petrol and diesel engines starting with a 1.2L turbocharged unit as well as a 1.4L normally aspirated engine. Expect to see performance variants including a new �FR� with a 150hp 1.4L turbo engine and a �Cupra� edition packing a turbocharged 1.8L mill.
The all-new Ibiza is set to be unveiled in full production trim at the Madrid International Motor Show in May of this year.
