The unit also comes with 4 NGK spark plugs, customized laser etched leather wallet & stainless steel bolts.

I assuming these coils work off the wasted spark signal coming from the "power transistor" or do they have their own drivers

toyotec.....You are correct it runs in wasted spark utilizing the factory power transistor. These coils are much higher voltage (40,000 volts) vs 25,000volts for stock ones not to mention the stock ones are now in some cases 15yrs old. Our coil on plug system has been on many 600+hp cars without the M & W cdi box. If your horsepower goals are 700hp and above I would recommend the additional Cdi box that we sell with our Evo 8 kits. We recently sold one of those kits to a guy named Paul Nelson. His Evo is in the top 3 highest horsepower evo's in the world (1009whp)it ran low 9's@157 prior to the coil on plug system. He had a misfire issue prior to the coil on plug system, which he said the coil on plug system solved. Also prior to the coil on plug system he had to replace spark plugs every pass and in initial testing hasn't had to do so. We know he'll be in the 8's really soon. Evo...These particular kits are for the 4g63 engine. However we are developing new systems constantly. Currently working on a coil on plug system for Honda B series engines for a customer in Australia. We'll also need a valve cover to design a system for the 4g93. Please send us a close up picture ([email protected]) of your valve cover and we'll take a look at it and determine how difficult it would be.

We are also in need of a evo 4-7 valve cover so we can finish up design on our coil on plug system for that application. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey, the evo 4-7 uses the same cover as the usdm evo 8

Well it's been a while since i've been on the forums. We've been really busy with the coil on plug systems. We experienced an issue with factory ecu cars where the car would misfire at part throttle 2500-3500 rpm. We have resolved this issue and this system is 100% compatible with the factory ecu as well as standalone ecu's. You can check us out at www.sparktechignitions.net

We currently sponsor Paul Nelsons Highest Horsepower 2.0L Evo 8 1014whp which was just featured in Jan 08' Dsport mag. Narend has a copy so tell him to share Smile.

Within the next few days we will also be testing a coil on plug system without the M & W cdi box. This will be a great in between and a more affordable system. We are trying to offer this system for under $500.00 vs the cdi system $950.00. We'll keep you posted as to updates on testing.
