So after spending all that money and the problem still exists whats next Question will you be reimbursed for the money spent Question What method was used to diagnose the problem Question If the transmission has to come down again whos paying for the fresh set of oil Question

What you are describing here is the main reason why I took it upon myself to learn as much as possible about my car to do the repairs myself its bad enough we have to pay such high prices for parts then have mechanics play hit and miss wit the diagnoses Evil or Very Mad

will right now i was sopposed to drop my car in his garage yesterday but he said he has'nt got the harness,he suspects the harnes because of battrey acid droping on the wires and inturn the multifuntion switch culd be defective because of this.but i read some were that when the two new borg warner valves have been changed the transmission ecu needs updating because of compatability issue.Right now i am very fustrated about this issue because the car is working in safe mode second and third gears alone is working if i bypass the safemode by moving the lever straight to drive or tipronic it works but after a time it judders and locks back in third gear limp home mode, so every time i start i have to put it in reverse for the computer to bring up the fault auto gear fault. By friday if i don't get answer i will sort this out by either ordering the harness or multifunction switch because this thing is irrtating Evil or Very Mad

I like those Pugs more than the Japs. But it is for these types of problems that I keep away from them.

The 307 transmissions is very expensive to replace from what i have heard. So far i am glad we not seeing anymore problems.

Rory, the peugeot 308 is excellent car, big improvements from the 307..Now that you in the UK you see it, take some pics if you see them..

Seeing that you up there you will see some modified pugs, i wish i was up there... Sad

will saturday i got so fedup that i went by andre the renault mech and explaned my situation, after he ran his diagnostic reader on the trans he saw that three of the eight solenoid valves was not activated so he figured that the multiuntion switch was either not dialed in correct or the switch was defective.once that was done it was indeed not good because he was not geting the 0 ohms on nutral position, so he took a switch from a megane 2 which carry's the same trans as pug/citrone and after that never got the fault and gears change realy good.but he still is geting one error code out of three in the begining wich is not bad so thanks to a renualt mech that i can stop worring about harness and gearbox problem Mr. Green .by the way sheldon has not return my call yetaboyt my harnes i sopposed to be waiting on Exclamation ?

Experience this problem recently where the 3rd gear was locked at varied times, took the car by N&M and their solution was to download an updated software for the transmission. So far no problems as yet..
