Subaru believe that they are in great shape for next weekend's Rally Germany with their 2007-specification Impreza.
The team have tested on asphalt recently and they believe that the car is strong on sealed surfaces, rather than on loose surfaces like in Finland last time out.
"The test last month went well," said Petter Solberg. "I think it was the best sealed surface test ever for us so I'm feeling good.
"The cars are working well on asphalt at the moment so I'm really looking forward to it."
Subaru World Rally Team managing director Richard Taylor backed up Solberg's claims about the performance of the car on Tarmac.
"Our drivers were able to see real progress in the car's speed on the sealed surface roads during the asphalt test we conducted in Germany," he said.
"We are confident of a competitive performance from all of our cars following the test, and our objective is to bring all three cars to the finish in points-scoring positions."
