1967 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE with a straight six (200) Cylinder Engine and a C4 automatic transmission
Purchased by my dad (Mr. Deonarine R. Singh) on February 17, 1967 at Deragon Auto-Cite Inc., Cowansville Quebec for $3,339.65 Canadian.
I have all the documentation of the purchase and also the shipping files when it landed in Trinidad. I also have letters written by the Transport Commissioner informing that a limited licence was granted and if the car was not converted to a right hand drive then it would either have to be removed from the road or would be seized by the Government.
Will try to scan all documents and upload. (DOCUMENTS ON PAGE 3)

I wish you could bring this car for me to work some magic on... I could really wake this thing up!
I seeing the baby version of my old engine there. That is the 170cid (2.8L) six, the smallest one? I had the 250 in my comet (4.1L). It eventually dies and replaced it with a 5.0HO from a 95 mustang gt.
If you want to go this route, please let me know, I can guide you step by step and also locate everything you will need. All you will need to do is buy it and ship it down. You and Mg Man could share a shipment down |

Initially started to work on the car about 3 years ago to restore it back to stock (plan was to service the engine and transmission and then have the body done). What you have to note is that the car was a daily driver (1996-1997 was given the car by my dad) and was actually on the road before I started the work on the car around the end of 2003.
The person that I did the engine job by in Chaguanas screwed up a working engine and transmission even though given all kits and original parts. Had to have the car towed to Chaguanas Auto Supplies to re-build the transmission and then to Rio Claro by my old mechanic (Winston) to have the engine re-done (found out that the first guy did not change any seals or parts even though took apart the engine and when I went back refused to return any parts). Therefore had to import all parts previously supplied to the first guy.
After this the search for a person to handle to body started (had all floor pans, panels and sheet metal to do the job).
Went to the obvious choice to restore auto bodies however the owner believed that the work monetary valve could not be ascertained and would provide me with weekly costing on work done. Also was told that even though I was supplying all original parts I would not be able to afford to supply additional partsAs you guessed I didnt send the car there
The next guy was recommended by a friend who has a business that provides engineering services in South, however when the car was towed to the home of the individual (body man) we found out that he lived on a river bank and his house floods during the wet season. Did not send it there either.
Was told of a place in Penal and the shop after seeing the car agreed to change the floor pan, inner and outer rocker panels, torque boxes, sheet metal and any other work that was needed. The guy started to take apart the car and repair the panels, however when I brought down all the parts to be changed he indicated that he would not be using the new parts but repairing/ patching the exiting sheet metal. Had to have the car removed from the shop.
Since the car was in South and could now not be driven was thankful that Kevin (MG Man) who kept it for me for around 6 months. At this time had numerous people look at the car, but no one wanted to take the job..
Finally, got someone in St. Augustine near UWI to agree to do the job and the car was sent to him in September/ October 2004
These are the photos of the car when we stripped it down
