Audi's and Mercedes' motorsport chiefs have said that they will speak to all of their drivers about the start of the race at Oschersleben.
Several drivers have admitted that they are expecting the new first corner at the circuit to cause problems, especially on the first lap.
While some drivers have already called for caution at the start, their team bosses have admitted that they will also get involved.
Audi and Mercedes each have five cars in the top 10, and Audi's head of motorsport Wolfgang Ullrich is keen to avoid a repeat of the accident which eliminated three of his cars at Hockenheim.
"I think we are in a good position for the race," he said. "We will do everything we can to make sure that all the drivers get through the first corner."
Some drivers feel that even those at the front of the grid might not be able to avoid the trouble, but Mercedes' motorsport boss Norbert Haug is hoping that their strong qualifying results are not ruined at the start of the race.
"I hope there is not too much action at turn one," he said. "I think Dr Ullrich and I will have to talk to all of our drivers."
