The Peugeot 908s dominated free practice for this weekend's LMS race at Valencia, lapping over a second quicker than their nearest rivals.

There was little to separate the two diesel-powered cars, but Frenchman Nicolas Minassian held a small advantage over teammate and countryman Stephane Sarrazin.

Another Frenchman, former Sauber F1 driver Jean-Christophe Boullion, was the closest challenger in his Pescarolo-Judd.

On its LMP1 debut, the Zytek 07S showed well, with Hyanari Shimoda setting the fourth quickest time, less than 0.5 seconds off Boullion's pace.

The next fastest runner was the LMP2 class pace-setter, Karim Ojjeh, in the LMP2 version of the Zytek. But Tomas Erdos was just fractions behind in his MG Lola.

The ORECA Saleen of Stephane Ortelli and Soheil Ayari had a comfortable advantage in the GT1 class, while the Felbermayr Porsche 997 of Marc Lieb and Xavier Pompidou were equally dominant in GT2.
