Cars are just so antiquato for Fiat, which has recently started to sponsor racing bikes and is now providing the engines for Sunseeker powerboat racer.
Fiat will supply a 480bhp 5.9-litre turbodiesel to Team Sunseeker, which races in the 2007 UIM Powerboat P1 World Championship.
Using lightweight materials, the Sunseeker Challenger boasts a power-to-weight ratio similar to that of a Formula One car, except these guys have the added complication of their race track being made of water and constantly changing underneath them.
The Powerboat P1 Championships kick off on 4-6 May in Malta.
