Anybody have one??
just got an accent as a beater..... i need to do some work on it ..
the engine is workin fine. i upgraded to some iridiums and 8mm wires and a k& n filter ... next on the list is a set of extractors
but the brakes not effective at all.... even with new shoes & pads..
i got a spare head & trying some experimental porting work but i'll only swap when the brakes are sorted..
anybody else doing this stuff to their accent??? _________________

Good car and very fuel efficient. I drove a 1996 model for about 10 years with no real problems whatsoever. When it was sold it still had the stock engine in it (after some 343,000 km). Only one time at 230,000 km was the engine re-built with genuine HMC parts.
With respect to the brakes, it stops the car okay, but the pedal feel is "mushy" no matter what type of brake pads or shoes you use.
Good luck with the upgrades. |
