The Automobile Club de L'Ouest have appointed Patrick Debrot as General Manager to help deal with the club's expansion in international racing.
The fifty three-year-old is hoping to help the ACO develop on a wider scale, and he will be involved in all aspects of racing that the club deals with, from the Le Mans 24 Hours to motorbike and truck racing.
"My aim is to develop the ACO's activity and give it a wider international impact," said Debrot.
"It is a company that manages and develops products bearing a prestigious name, which have a bright future ahead of them.
"The ACO and the events it has become a specialist in on a worldwide basis also embody my personal values: perseverance, endurance, safety and an opening to the world."
The Le Mans circuit also hosts events such as the French round of the MotoGP championship, and last year it held a DTM round.
