1) The most important change in the regulations for 2007 is that all teams will be supplied by one tyre manufacturer - Bridgestone.

2) The Japanese company will supply two specifications of its Potenza tyre at each grand prix, and each driver will have 14 sets at his disposal (seven per specification).

3) A driver may use a maximum of four sets on the first practice day and the remaining 10 on the Saturday and Sunday.

4) In dry conditions, both specifications must be used during the race.

5) In the wet, a driver has a total of seven sets of tyres available - four wet-weather and three extreme-weather.

6) The two Friday practice sessions - one in the morning and one in the afternoon - have been extended from 60 minutes to 90.

7) The teams can send out a maximum of two cars for each session, and they must be driven by either the two race drivers or by a nominated test driver.

Cool The identity of the drivers must be announced by 4pm the previous day.

9) The engines must again cover two race weekends, although this only applies to the Saturday and Sunday.

10) The Friday is no longer subject to this regulation, which means engines may be changed ahead of Saturday practice.

11) There is also a new safety car rule, specifically that as soon as the safety car moves on to the track, the pit lane is closed.

12) It is only opened again once all the cars have lined up behind the safety car.

13) In addition, lapped drivers then have to overtake any drivers ahead of them who are on the lead lap. They also overtake the safety car, drive an additional lap and rejoin the field at the back.

14) The safety car stays out until at least this process is completed.

Rule #1 sucks... I liked the competition between the tyre companies. That competition continually forced them to keep developing new and faster race tyres..
