C-M�tisse is 'best prototype'

Citroen's C-M�tisse is to be awarded with the Louis Vuitton Classic Concept Award for the year�s best prototype vehicle.

The award is to be presented at the Geneva Motor Show on 8 March, with the jury headed by Christian Philippsen citing the luxury coupe�s "elegant design, exceptional travelling comfort, remarkable performance and environmental respect".

Unveiled at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, the 4-seater 4-door coupe concept car � with its flowing lines, flamboyant red bodywork, unusual door-opening design and premium-material cabin � was intended to recapture the spirit of the most prestigious Grand Tourers.

The concept car�s diesel hybrid drivetrain, optimised aerodynamics and reduced weight give it performance figures of 6.2 seconds for the 0 to 100km/h dash and 25.4 seconds for the 1.0km sprint.

This performance is combined with fuel economy of 6.5 l/100km over a combined cycle and CO2 emissions of 174 g/km.

C-M�tisse will be on show at the Geneva Motor Show.
