got in the middle of two fabricators arguing ove my car.. and how to install the intercooler..

the current inter cooler is a Z flow with the inlet being on the botom right and the out on the top left of the inter cooler.. teh problem lies in that ther is not room at the top left to run the piping.. so the piping wiht have to make a 90 deg down then a 90 deg left an then 90 deg back.. one wnat s to go this way ( the actual builder) and the other wants to rotate the left tank to put the out at the bottom left... ( the ..... electritian??)
now here is my thing.. the both right an wrong...

the series of 90's will make the flow slow doen but will utalise the intercooelr better.. the straight through due to the nature of the in an out bitn diretly opposite will make the flow faster but utalise the intercooler less now keep in mind this inter cooler is tall.. like.. 20+ inches ( almost the whole front of the car..)..

so here is my soloution .. get a new smaller intercooelr with a stright through design.. soemthign like 20x7x3...

thoughts? ideas...
