Lewis Hamilton�s Valencia test came to a premature end on Thursday when he crashed his McLaren at high speed.
The 22-year-old Brit, who will make his Formula One debut in Australia in March, left the circuit at 165 mph at one of the quickest corners, wrecking his new MP4-22 machine.
A team spokesperson said: "Lewis was not hurt in the crash, but there is no chance of repairing the car in time for him to drive it tomorrow.
"The team are investigating the cause of the crash though."
GP2 Series champion Hamilton was testing alongside his double world champion team-mate Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard will conclude his three-day programme on Friday.
Prior to his accident, Hamilton had completed 33 laps, peaking with a time of 1:12.596.
His world champion team-mate Fernando Alonso was quickest for the second day running, lapping in 1:11.698.
