The FIA has released the 2007 Formula 1 world championship entry list, with Fernando Alonso taking the number one to his new team McLaren.

The move of defending world champion Alonso, who won the title with Renault, ensures that his new team-mate Lewis Hamilton will drive the number two car.

Renault, 2006 constructor champion, get numbers three and four, while the remaining numbers are awarded according to where the teams finished in last year's constructors race.

It has not been confirmed who will drive alongside Christijan Albers at the renamed Spyker F1 team.

Scott Speed and Vitantonio Liuzzi are expected to keep their seats with Scuderia Toro Rosso, but their appointment has not yet been confirmed by the team.
