Upholding a 41-year-old New Year's Day tradition, four men dove off the Cavour Bridge in Rome, Italy, on January 1, 2007. The bridge spans the Tiber River, the ancient city's main waterway.
The feat is considered relatively dangerous, since divers plunge from a height of more than 50 feet (15 meters) into the river's cold and murky waters. The tradition began when an unemployed stunt performer, Aldo "Mr. Okay" Corrieri, made the first dive in 1966.
