The Red Bull Rally Team and his partners are pleased to announce that Andreas Aigner will continue in the World Rally Championship in 2007. He will compete in all P-WRC rallies and other selected WRC events. In the production class, Andreas is offered the chance to assert himself against established drivers. Plenty of test, setup and training sessions will be part of the Red Bull Juniors further development.

Andreas Aigner also has the opportunity to get to know a couple of new stages. This constitutes another important step in his further development within the sport. Andreas was able to prove his talent in this years World Rally Championship, the highlight being a sixth place overall in Germany. Now he targets another, very bold goal, winning the P-WRC title, a very hard-to-get, but always underrated merit. Many prominent names have tried and had to learn the hard way before being successful.

Andreas Aigner has a clear conception: Im looling forward to the task ahead which will require my total commitment. Its an excellent step to prepare for a full WRC programme, like many other drivers had done before me. I will certainly give it my all to secure the title.

The Red Bull Rally Teams car, a Group N Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, will be run by Team BRR, which already looked after Andreas Aigners rally car in 2006. Team boss Raimund Baumschlager is sure: Our plan to win the P-WRC title wont be easy to put into practice but in order to move up the ladder, both the driver and the team will have to try and give their best. Its important for Andreas to run many additional rallies. Thats why he will have extracurricular WRC starts in Monte Carlo (January 19th to 21st) and in Norway (February 16th bis 18th).
