The new Saab 9-4X comes with two petrol engine options: a 3.0-litre aspirated unit with direct injection, 270 hp and 302 Nm, and a 2.8-litre Twin-Scroll turbine job with 305 hp and 400 Nm. Both come with Saab’s XWD four-wheel traction, while the three-litre engine option is also offered in a front-wheel drive format. We’ll admit that a diesel unit will probably help the Saab 9-4X on its road in Europe but there are no reports about that yet. It will be available in the US from May and in Europe from August next year.
