|
|
ESP will be fitted as standard on all 308 SW models and all 308 hatchback models except the Urban, adding appeal to the range for fleets. The standard fitment of ESP adds to safety equipment already on the 308: traction control (ASR) and stability control (CDS). It can be disconnected for enhanced traction on difficult road surfaces and is reconnected automatically above a speed of 31 mph.
Peugeot Connect USB & Bluetooth will also be introduced as standard equipment on the 308 Sport hatchback and 308 SW Sport and SE models. This new and innovative in-car-entertainment system is linked to the MP3 compatible radio / CD player and provides full Bluetooth functionality. The inclusion of Bluetooth enables a compatible mobile phone to be paired with the car. Once paired, the phone can be operated via the remote controls on the steering column. High-quality telephone communications can, therefore, be carried out in complete safety using both the car’s speakers and inbuilt microphone.
The system also includes an USB Box which consists of a connection box located in the centre console with a USB connector and jack socket. Once connected, an MP3 player or an iPod can be operated via the radio controls or steering column remote controls, with the units screen information shown also on the car’s multi-function display.
The unit is also capable of “streaming” music via the Bluetooth function, making it possible to play recorded music from the memory of a Bluetooth phone or from a Walkman device equipped with a Bluetooth module
Much to the pleasure of contract hire and car leasing customers, a more efficient Euro 5 HDi 140 bhp diesel engine is also introduced into the 308 hatchback and SW range to replace the current Euro 4 136 bhp engine fitted with a manual gearbox.

Anyone knows how reliable the 308s are under local conditions?
I saw a few already on the road. |

Good question whether the dealers are trained to service these cars... |
