Stureson plans to build Peugeot 308 RC Z

PS Motorsport and Johan Stureson are hoping to be allowed to run the Peugeot 308 RC Z model in the Swedish Touring Car Championship.
"Peugeot would like to run this model in STCC, but we have got indications that it could be hard to get a dispensation," said Stureson to STCC.

Stureson has competed with various Peugeot models during the last couple of years in the STCC, most recently with the 308 model.

"The 308 RC Z is released this spring and Peugeot want to market that model, but it is uncertain if it fits in the regulations," said Stureson.

The IPS Motorsport team was given several dispensations to be able to compete with the current 308-model. One of the dispensations was for it being a two-door model, a dispensation the 308 RC Z is going to need as well.

But the team is not certain if they are going to get back the support from Peugeot, something they lost ahead of the 2009 season.

"If we are not going to get support from Peugeot, the alternative could be switching manufacturer. But that is a last resort as we would like to continue to with Peugeot," said Stureson.
