Nine minis ranging in engine sizes from 700cc (bubbles) up to 1275cc and two hybrids circumnavigated Tobago covering well over 100km in fine style.
My humble question is: Can the well tuned SOLODEX machines stand up to such a challenge?
The Mighty Minis started off at Lambeau Proceeded to Scarbrough, then Mt St George Goodwood Pembroke all the way to Charlotteville then back through Cambleton along North Side road (please pay attention to the elevations on the map....) to Castara Moriah Mason Hall down to Scarborough....Average gas consumed $55.00 per MINI |

ummm. yeah. did it with a rental 1600 almera, which is pretty close to my stock setup.
enjoying the corners as well. 25-50k, no brakes ma!!!!!. put same $50 in tank after, and wait i was using A/C, (how silly of me)
and, i went from store bay through shirvan road to plymouth, then moriah, nice hill-climb that, charlotteville speyside, and back around to store bay.
all on $50 , wow.
so can you prove kevin's question? _________________ PROUD MEMBER OF D WAGON BOYZ @ DEX

dex is a solo event, and minis need backup apparently. _________________ PROUD MEMBER OF D WAGON BOYZ @ DEX

At the risk of sounding like a rehash of an old story,
every time I get together with the Trinimini crew, I suddenly get the urge to build an old school mini.
well we know how the last project turned out but the long and short of it is that I have a bunch parts just lying around.
the bottom line is that I have talked Andre into resurecting the Mini Moke.
we had all the major components needed minus a front subframe which I have since gotten from Dan.
so look for the Mini Moke at the 50th B'day Bash running the 15 sec drag engine. _________________ Livng life one day at a time

Officially the best time is 15.02sec at Autosport Promotions Drag Racing.
Needless to say we won the class that day, and we still have the trophy to show.
We have often said that the MOKE is officially the quickest Mini in Trinidad.
This is only because at the time, all the other Mini men that claimed to be faster never brought their vehicle to be tested.
I say quickest and not fastest because there is a difference.
The MOKE is set up for the 1/4 Mile sprint, and although it would beat most Mini's in the sprint the mile per hour tops out very quickly and a Mini set up for the road will out run us in the long run.
I got a subframe from dan but I need the upper and lower arms, the cones and the donuts.
I like the idea of a shootout, only because the MOKE was known as the Giant Killer
In our day we beat Turbo Lasers, Honda Civics, Ford Escorts with Nissan Straight Sixes, and even a V8 powered Jeep, but we were using nitrous when we ran the Jeep. _________________ Livng life one day at a time
