here is a list of all the possible engine upgrades and swaps that can be made from you ordinary mini , by adding the precision engineered motors of today's auto mobile. not giving anything away from the venerable A' series engine (1940-2001) which powered our tiny superstars .

nissan:
ma10,ma12, ma09ert, e13,e15 , e16 , ---with minor body mods
ga15 de, ga16 de , ca16de, ga16vvl , sr16vvl ,-- major body and suspension mods.

toyota:
2a, 2e, 2c, 3a, 4ag, 4a-ge , 4efte , 5a fte ,5a .

mazda:
e3,e5, b5, b6


suzuki--- g13b, g13a, hayabusa motor , jimney 1000 cc motor.

ford :
bda, bdg , ybd -- 1600cc pushrod , 2000 ohc.

nice infor there, somehow i go with the nissan engines..parts are more ready available and affordable.
