Set to arrive on the French market in April, the 207 boasts some convincing selling points in terms of safety.
The new model recently scored five stars in EuroNCAP adult occupant protection tests. It also notched up four stars in the child protection tests, taking 37 points out of a possible 49.
These results demonstrate the efficiency of the 207 structure, which was designed to resist front and side impact and to dissipate energy. The 207 is fitted with high-performance restraint systems for adult and child occupants, along with a retracting steering column and active foot rest to further improve driver protection.
The 207 also obtained three EuroNCAP stars in pedestrian protection tests, with 19 points out of a maximum 36.
A total of nine Group models have now scored five stars in EuroNCAP tests: the 207, 1007, 407, 407 Coupé and 807, and the C4, C5, C6 and C8.
