hey ppl wuz up... yall seem 2 b d best ppl 4 me 2 ask 4 help in trying 2 locate a gear box 4 my sport 20 prefferably a lsd gear box... an at what price... i really wanna get this badd... cant take driving automatic 4 long again but atleast d tip-shift not as badd as regular auto lol... thanx in advance 4 da help _________________ learning to ride a bike... training wheels rule |

yip dats it... d FF, wish it wuz d 4WD... the tip-tranny is nice but i mucher preffer a gearbox any day cuz i am going 2 stazrt 2 do sum small mods on her pretty soon... 2 1/2" straight exhaust, extractors, intake, cams & pistons oh an suspension too... if afta dat i tink i ready den i might wanna boost her... jus a small boos... mayb a T25... but right now i jus hadda get d gear box _________________ learning to ride a bike... training wheels rule |

No its differnet Sport20 auto tranny to the 1.6 tranny. |

The Sport20 has a 5-speed but it is rare indeed. Those roro dealers brought in the 4-speed tiptronic models. I found them to be rather fast for a heavy-ish hatchback. 170HP and descent torque allowed me to have fun but I wish I had the 5-speed to try instead. Good luck with that Nik. Singapore, Japan and Australia should have the tranny you looking for. The US might have it because they got a 2.0 in their Protege's with 5-speeds but their engine was a little different generating less out-put, ie. 130HP and 140HP in limited production MP3 models. Ask some Mazda gurus if the tranny from those cars can be swapped with your model. |
