Dude, as discussed, there are conversion kits for the MGB that allow for the use of telescopic dampers (shocks). Since the Cambridge / Oxford suspension does not stray far from the MGB, the principles will apply. Basically the kits supply new dampers and custom brackets to mount them. The front Armstrong dampers remain in place and continue to function as wishbones.....I am sure someone like Kamikaze can replicate this kit
the flat strip plates at centre left of the pic bolts onto the lower rear wishbone, and the other bracket mounts over the armstrong
notice the longer brake hoses that have to accomodate the damper
This last option is great, but expensive, and also requires a custom crossmember. I am sure this can be made locally.....a future project for the MGB, maybe
Modified crossmember:

This is the lowering kit for the rear (pic #5). The blocks go between the spring and the axle, effectively moving the axle an inch up into the body, relative to the spring _________________

Yep, at one point in time or another each of us has come first place even though our cars are years apart.
I would like to see GS grow, looks like a very competitive catergory.
How those new shocks working out for you lion? _________________
