....just to update my fellow pug enthusiast...the Lion is roaring again. After a very very very long period i have finally been successful in mating a 2.1 litre re-stroked forged bottom half with my worked 1.8 head. The car is idling & all other upgrades is taking place as i speak, full D2 drift coilover suspension with 13inch rotors & 8 piston calipers are already on the beast. Fuel cell is being installed in the trunk tomorrow, profec B electronic boost controller with high boost on steering, new TIAL wastegate, many steel braided lines, 800-1000cc RC injectors, all guages upgraded to Greddy DEFI style guages with warning alarms, many more upgrades & also some exterior trims taking place. I expect to have the Lion back in the den by mid to 3rd week in April tuned for brake in driving, but the Lion will also be getting a new coat by the SKF paint & body shop before it hits the streets.
It was a long hard haul but this Lion will be tuned to represent the brand, aiming for 300hp at the wheels on low boost & 400hp at the wheels on high boost which makes for over a 500hp motor. See you on the streets.

I was very fortunate to get a rear disc conversion setup in the bamboo, so i have a little longer before the lion is back in the den, as i am not going to bring this ride back out on the streets unless all is in order, Very large front brakes do not look right with drums at the back so hence the extra time to upgrade the rear. I am also hoping to run 225 wide tyres after it goes into the paint shop, some minor flaring of the fenders will be required. It is necessary to upgrade tyre width as higher horsepower requires better rubber to transfer such or else it will be unsafe an expense in tyre changes as it will be smoking rubber quite easily as this is a front drive motor.

Not running 18inch rims...i still running 17 inch....trying to get most from front wheel drive so lighter rims is better keeping strain off the axles.....plus i going to run higher profile wider tyre......LittleLion i going back in factory black but with some simple accent points to make for a more aggressive ride. My hold up now is the rear disc setup i got from the Bamboo have the both wheel bearings bad on it so i have ordered a new set from N&M...we all know how fast they move, so i waiting again. But i pushing hard for end May to have this ride back home.

Well based on the effort & $$$$$$$ spent if this ride does not perform it will not be because it was not done right but maybe that peugeot did not build streetable motors that can handle power, but i think that is not the case. This ride is not being built for competing with other tuners really but for personal fun & enjoyment, unfortunately due to the nature of us trini's everythiing is a competition to see who better than who, i am not really interested in putting this ride on the drag strip as maintenance is costly for that purpose, but i would love to meet the ocassional Scooby, Evo, Rotary & those japanese guys on the road, just to see how the Lion stands up, front wheel drive can be difficult against all wheel & rear wheel rides but i am sure it will be a rush. Also any pug man is free to look over what i have built over, i will post when completed so arrangements for viewing can be made.

thanks for the compliment bro....it is so hard to come by when japanese guys tell you that a pug will never be anything fast or respectful, i have so many japanese guys that say so many negative & stupid things about pugs or euros on the whole, however i think i have silenced most of them, i actually have a couple of them i need to run to convince, but i intend to do just that. You are welcome when i am done to a full detail inspection....hope i get the stamp of approval from you all. My mechanic committed yesterday to handing me back the Lion at the end of 2nd week in May, then its off to paint.
