Took this pic on Carnival Tuesday 2006. That girl was spinning all over the place and I had to time that shot. What do you think Princess Kavita, oops! Kaveshla.

Which cybershot you have again MG? Does it have a manual mode? My two favs are the last too. Sometimes when you can't get it sharp - just go with the blurred. Good job!
What mode were you on when you shot this? _________________ Mowgli : "Use the Zorce Princess Kaveshla!"...

Looking online at the specs for that camera - I don't see a manual mode option, but I did see a twlight mode - try using that - but you'd need a tripod (or bean bag or table or use de mop! haha) . For lower light you want to have the 'lowest' f/stop or aperture number (like 2.8/ 4.6/ 3.5) and then the slowest speed possible - this means that the shutter opens (aperture setting) wider and then it stays open longer (shutter speed) so that way it reads as much light in there possible - giving you a lighter and not as dark picture. _________________ Mowgli : "Use the Zorce Princess Kaveshla!"...

Of course with two extremes - light a headlight in the dark - the headlight would end up being 'blown out' or overexposed (ie. REALLLLLY bright)... it's just a matter of playin with the settings to get the best balance... _________________ Mowgli : "Use the Zorce Princess Kaveshla!"...

I was too lazy to go inside for the tripod
Seriously, I was aiming for the dark, grainy look of an underexposed photo. That's why I used the normal mode, sans flash.
I plan to resurrect the old Yashica and do some timed exposures and taillight trails etc, since I can leave the shutter open indefinitely.....problem is, the Yashica uses 120 film, which cannot be processed by a machine, and darkrooms are limited these days........plus 120 film is not as common as it used to be
Dad used to develop his own black and white photos from that camera, and they came out pretty good........his technique was quite entertaining as well _________________
