Well the time is drawing close, i drove the Lion this weekend, YES it is driving, intake piping still needs to be installed & some electrical wiring to close off, all others are in order, I still have rear brake conversion to do, i need to employ a pug mechanic to do such as my mechanic just moved location over this weekend so things a bit up in the air, so more delays due to this but the car drove on Sunday from south to Munroe road chaguanas without boost lines in place just raw engine & all instrumentation is reading good results....will keep you updated. |

I was lucky to get mine in the bamboo for $3,000. have not heard of or seen any more, however i am trying to get a rear set up from the same company that did my front, once this is an option i will have the one i bought in the bamboo for sale, will keep you informed.
How much did sheldon charge to do that conversion? Why did it take so long? The car idling sweet, i have not revved it as yet, so i not sure how aggressive the roar is but we have expectations. |

Well i got Bailey from city motors to do rear brake conversion...cost me $300.tt & took 2.5hrs.
I went with the 1.8 head cause it is a worked head(gas flowed) as well this head made good power with the 1.8 block, also i have a full race cam from Piper Cams combined with a fully adjustable cam gear from Kent Cams that is going into the head when the car goes back to dyno, so i did not want to loose all that investment so i took the gamble, worse case if this head dont perform i can then still go with the 2.0 twin cam head. I have been waiting long enough to get this ride back on the road so i not trying to put any more obsticles in the way....I need to enjoy what i have spent all this time building. Time to have some funnnnnnnn....I still have to go through the paint shop scenario before i can have any driving fun. |

The Lion Roars, finally, this ride is out of the mech shop. Another 3 weeks or so at the paint shop & u can look for this beast on the streets, while in the breakin in period gettin all those parts to work together to put some mileage on this newly built motor. I will be extending an invitation to you pug men that wish to see the outcome of a hell of alot of effort, time, patience, some finance & an excellent mechanic. The nexf step will be the dyno. The lion will be back in black with a whole new look. I hope to represent the brand well, it was a long hard journey but it seems like things worked out well, The weak point in this engine is the gearbox so i am interested in finding a 2.0 gearbox, if anyone knows of any can you please let me know. |
