These turbos look great...i am a bit sceptical about the hp ratings...cause in order to give a hp rating you must know what the present hp rating is....engine size alone does not decide acheiveable hp but you see the price...i dont think u will get 270bhp from this BallBearing turbo as there is a lot of other factors involved in making this power but it is great to have a turbo that will support it...so in short this is a good investment based on the power gains you looking for. go for it. |

Next step is to install Air / Fuel Boost and Oil Pressure gauges..the only problem is finding the correct fittings to install the turbo oil line and pressure sensing units for the oil pressure gauge and oil unit.
The intercooler piping will be made from 2 inch inner diameter Aluminum $26.00 per foot the joints from 2 inch inner diameter Rubber Hose $37.00 per foot and the bends from 2 inch inner diameter corrugated Rubber Hose $23.00 per foot |

TU5JP4 Citroen only retailed this engine with a max of 125BHP never 145 neither did peugeot for that fact.. It is easily capable of 220BHP without any forced induction ie porting, high compression pistons, remapping and delimit to 8500rpm (balancing required). No doubt there will be someone who goes not possible to get 220BHP from a normally asp TU5JP4 1.6 but if for those who doubt I have the answer you need.. Citroen C2 Super 1600 JWRC spec. Also you will find that the main difference on the 110BHp TU5JP4 and the 125 is the rev limit moved from 6500-7200rpm. a little has been done to the exhaust on the 125 cars also but everything else is pretty much the same on those engines..
Also it is certainly possible to get 1500BHP from a 1.6 engine yes 1,500 although I expect this would be somethign you would only want to race once then rebuild as bmw did with their 1500cc f1 cars... |
