Nice swap. That will eat the Porsche Cayenne SUV thingie...
At least 25% or less of the Porsche price too. _________________ Walk softly... and carry a BIG stick! |

Hello all.
I have a question that could not find the right answer from nobody. I have a 2004 honda civic ex now i decided to get a new one but what? I saw 2006 mustang V6 cup and honestly i is the dream car of my childhood. On the other hand i like vw gti too and many others. What do you think when you compare honda civic 2006, mustang and gti which is better you tell me i'll listen.
Thank u.

Strange question for this forum, with limited choices too, but here goes...
Coming from a 2004 Civic, the 2006 Civic will feel most familiar.
Likewise the Golf GTi will be similar in front wheel drive handling characteristics.
Quality and performance will be a little better, but GTi may be higher maintenance (parts cost.)
Mustang V6 will not compare well with the Golf GTi in performance IMHO, but will be a lower maintenance ride.
As a rear wheel drive it will handle okay, but will be too "soft" with insufficient power for such a heavy car IMHO.
If your budget can stretch, go for a V8 Mustang GT as a first choice, (V6 engine or suspension doesn't cut it.)
Then you also get handling and brakes with the extra power as a complete package.
Next is the Civic STi or Golf GTi (it's a draw... or maybe the 2-litre STi with a slight lead?)
Again you have good handling and brakes; just add a front 'helical' LSD (Quaife)
and a low-boost turbo kit in either case.
Now each example will be a "balanced" package... power / handling / brakes / looks.
My $0.02c
Okay, here it comes... If you can really streatch your budget, just buy a 2006 Evolution IX GT or RS (without the rear wing if you prefer.)
It's a total package of performance, safety and looks with great resale value. _________________ Walk softly... and carry a BIG stick! |
