Oils, Air filter etc what do you use?

For engine i use quakerstate but would like to try something different..
normally my mechanic puts what he thinks is best but would like to hear from you guys what u using?

These days I'm trying the Kendall High Performance in the Rx. Happy with it so far. It is supposed to be made from a higher grade base oil than Pennzoil.

Kendall High performance oil, is that for only performance cars or normal cars can use it also?

Shell have a range of oils for high mileage engines......royal purple is another popular brand used in high performance.

A very important factor to consider is your driving habits�..Start and rev or start and drive is ah killer it takes a while for the oil to reach the head or top of the engine��Insufficient long driving periods (plenty short trips) where the duration of the trip is not long enough for the oil to reach its proper operating temperature��Cold running engines yuh car come with ah single core radiator but yuh put ah four core and some big fans.

With today�s oils especially synthetics a lot of chemicals are added to the oil most of which react to temperature and moisture. Some manufacturers operate with in a range based on data collected over a number of years from specific samples like daily drivers with standard engines and others from performance drivers with modified engines the data collected helps in the creation of the formula of the oil.

The bottom line is before you choose your oil is best to get some info around your engine requirements because for example a turbo approve oil will offer the most protection at extremely high temperatures which under normal operations your normally aspirated engine will never reach. If you do plenty night driving especially at high altitudes you should consider an oil with moisture reducing chemicals so yuh see gone are the days when yuh just ask for ah 50 or 60 body oil yuh now have to do research
