Information:

Six years after the launch of the second generation, the new Anfini RX-7 made a major stride forward in October 1991.
The third-generation model was designed and developed under the three main concepts; "styling with originality and aesthetic attractiveness", "the ideal man-to-machine interface that amplifies driving pleasure" and "dynamic performance that exemplifies the sports car of the 1990s".
The new-generation Anfini was powered by Type 13B twin-rotor engine and boosted by new sequential turbochargers. The naturally outstanding chassis received further support from the four-wheel dynamic geometry control system that maintained neutral steer characteristics. A power-to-weight ratio of 4.90 kg/ps (Type-S with five-speed manual gearbox) was the result of extensive weight-saving measures. An ideal weight distribution of 50:50 was ensured by the vehicle's legendary front mid-engined powertrain layout. All of these aspects added up to pure dynamism, the major tradition of the RX-7 pedigree, strongly appealing to all sports car fans.
Immediately after being launched onto the market, the Anfini RX-7 was highly acclaimed by the media and customers in Japan as well as those from all over the world. It was at this time that a first-class "pure sports car" was born to the world.
