Sunday March 28 saw the first event of the newly formed Island MINIs enthusiast club
Catering to the BMW MINI, Island MINIs is the brainchild of Romel Best and Samantha John. The first event, entitled MINIs and Mojitos featured a run from West Moorings to Las Cuervas, finally ending at Haagen Daz at Ellerslie Plaza...the mojitos were skipped due to huge crowds opresenting a parking challenge at Las CUervas

why not?
Lots of the BMC Mini guys seem to have a chip on their shoulders towards the New MINI owners....u see them in traffic and they look at you like you're a criminal...........trust me on that one.........rel emo weirdness
every morning I seea few of them and they won't even acknowledge....

just ask David how excited I get whenever he gives me updates on his little monster.....heck we begging him to start a project page on it 
Hadda say tho, this was a good week for Mini drivers waving back at me

but the red bull mini is the BMW model, and they accept that.

you know......when the new mini came out we were so excited and full of glee, ready to happily wave at any that we may encounter on the road.
slowly we learnt however that most new mini owners either did not know their history, did not see us waving or flashing or just did not care at the time (rich snob factor).
I am glad to report however that this has changed DRASTICALLY, many new mini owners still look up to us for being the original, while we in turn dream of the day we will one day own the new version of such an icon!
P.S. I can guarantee as your membership grows, you guys can look forward to full co-operation from both the members and executive of TRINIMINI

Guys,
I contacted Romel a while ago with an idea to have a Joint Trinimini / Island Mini run ..
he was very open to the idea , so plans are in place now that their inaugural run and our Tobago Easter runs are complete.
We're open to suggestions
