Well, I know that others will tell this story differently, but this is what happened on Easter Sunday...
While I was driving up to Toco in the morning, I noticed that a certain car was following me from since Curepe.

The two characters in the front seemed quite sinister, so I was quite concerned.
I attempted some evasive maneuvers (that I had learned from observing how pretty girls drive when I happen to drive behind them for a while)... but it was no use.
I thought the car seemed familiar, so maybe it was just Solodexers heading up to Arima for dex, but when I passed the turn-off by ARC and the Wingroad was still on my tail, I realized their intent was not destroying their left front tyres on ARC's tarmac.
When I swung in by Frank's bar/snackette/lime centre in Langusta, just after Salybia and before Balandra, they turned in behind me.
My worst fears were realized when I found out it was Wagonrunner and Zodiaque. Intent on trailing me to my lair, they had vile designs on me, or worse, they would steal my citrus.
When I pulled in front of the house on the estate, I breathed a sigh of relief when I noticed they weren't behind me. However, it seems that they have done this sort of thing before, for they had parked up on Naranjo Road and proceeded to sneak up the driveway on foot.
The first thing they did was to check out their cell phone reception.

When they realized the citrus was overgrown, they forced me to clear the way to the Pink Marsh grapefruit tree I had. (When we bought the orange plants, we asked if all the plants were oranges... yes, they said, all oranges. Years later, as the trees developed, it seems the trees had other ideas and many of them came out of the closet, with Navel and grapefruit appearing among the orchard.)
Wagonrunner was anxious to get the job done...

... but the Great Zod showed, once again, that he was the true professional, bringing down dozens of grapefruit in a short space of time, and hundreds of Cohong ants in an even shorter space of time, all on top of me.

They even went down to the Tompire, to poach the crayfish there, but they found out that one of the locals had beat them to it. (We didn't see even one youngling in a one-eighth mile stretch - unbelievable for a river that always has crayfish ad infinitum - which just proves that my people are always hungry...)

Luckily, they put their loot in my car for me to take down the hill to their vehicle. I fled with my life - and the grapefruit!

Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Thanks, Wagonrunner and Zodiaque! You made a grand day even greater (sorry you had to endure the three hour roadblock at Matura, that bordered on obscene) and hope you wish to do it again - this time kidnap MG - will run a barbeque next time (with soya burgers for those who prefer to predate on vegetables! Cool )

says the man who points into the 270° field of view with various greenage, identifies some singular growth, and expects the two city mice to identify same. Roll on Floor laughing

It was fun! I was too busy enjoying the cracks (by that I meant jokes, Kevin, don't get any ideas...) to take pics. What I posted was all I shot. Could you post the more pertinent pics of the shots you took (and the impertinent ones too!) here when you can?
Forgot to show you the tree that's called the "Naked Indian"... which reminds me, it's a pity that MG couldn't make it... Laughing

Hey Spike, it was a really cool trip. The 3hr police block was not your fault, so the lime itself was not sour (pun intended). Thanks for the invite!

Here are some pics of our tour:

Tapia house on the way there. Evidently abandoned for some time.

Race to Pykes peak, of sorts:

A couple views from the road:

Spike educates us on the area's history. Either that, or he is pointing to random green again.

After some rest at Spikes place, a trek to find a grapefruit tree, one of the trees pointed to by spike from his abode, confusing the 2 city mice who saw the vast expanse of green. Oh, there it is!

You would have had to deal with this guy and his blade if you were not invited to this spot.

Looking forward to another visit some day, that is , if the guy in the pic I just posted agrees, lol.

The property? Not going that much, but that's the good thing about property... it generally stays where you leave it. Very Happy Very Happy

A big, black rectangle with "An error occurred, please try again later"?
Sounds like many of my earlier hikes... Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing
