Discrimination!!!!
A fellah posted pics on Trinituner of the cars that took part in the filming, and he put the Viva with the cars he called "supporting cars" (vehicles that were there, but weren't filmed).
He also left out the green Hillman Minx and a pretty red Ford Capri... _________________ big red rice-eater |

I guess not... the direct implication is that I was not invited to take part in having my car filmed (like ah storm de people ting or wha)...
I hope it isn't green grapes on his part - his car couldn't be used in the film. I don't know why the Viva was ostracised... but say what, I got paid, the lime was great - and I got my 1.62 seconds of glory
Just let me know when to pass to pick up the mirrors! _________________ big red rice-eater |

Yes please, that would be nice...
MG (like any person who is capable of critical and analytical thought) would have read the notes you put at the top of each post, and would have deduced that the Viva was not included in the first group as described. And, as many of the drivers who were there on that day could tell you, discrimination against "old cars" comes easy in this day of thinking a car is a fancy paint job on wheels. Being described as a supporting vehicle and classed alongside vehicles that weren't part of the filming, contrasted against cars that "were invited to shoot a short scene at Maraval". Considering that I was invited...
I am very glad that it was just a mistake, and not a deliberate jibe like the many I have to take in stride. (Like your post here on "Grand Auto Show for ol' school lovers" at 5:46 - no hard feelings there, that was funny)
You don't have to post my car first (she's no diva), just fix what's wrong.
Cheers

Thanks heap plenty!
On behalf of owners of faithful (but scruffy-looking) older cars that don't get a chance to shine, I thank you.
This was the BEST birthday present I got today. Thanks again _________________ big red rice-eater |

Well, Dex is over... time to seriously consider putting the old girl up on stands and taking her apart and doing a decent make-over (my sweet lord, this dam' t'ing is contagious! First MG, then Zodi, now me? Must resist... strong urge... to take car apart... little pieces lying all over the place...)
Dex was fun! Got me arse washed by Zodi (foreseeable outcome)
We won't be lending that particular gentleman (and I use the term MOST loosely) the Bentley again...
Attempting to play an acoustic alongside Kevin's bass was like farting into thunder... Will have to level the playing field somehow (thoughtfully packs scissors for next guitar session...) _________________ big red rice-eater |
