Hmm,

Thanks for the advice. I was skeptical about getting it locally done anyway, you just make me really not want to get it locally done at all now. haha.

My initial intention was to send the E8 manifold to buschur to get it ported there as they have the experience and know exactly what they're doing. But then the anti-lag problem arose.

What I think I need to do is wait for my buddy who is puttin' on a Garrett TO4Z, to take off his manifold, and give me!!! Very Happy

I'll send that one to buschur to get it ported, and i'll give him the one from mine when I do the swap (brilliant plan, hahaha)

What's your opinion on coating the manifold? Buschur does that as well, do you think it's worth the extra money? It's $100 US more for Jet-Coating, do you really think it will keep temps down that much?

Yup, all sound like good ideas. However, IMHO plan your upgrade to the last detail... before you spend any $$$.

Funny you should ask that. I'm doing a little research on this right now... Very Happy
This might help... Link--> What will make YOUR car the PERFECT Daily Driver?

Found a gearbox for the GSR in Barbados.

Got the Evo manifold ported in Miami by a smaller scale EvoM vendor (RevMoto), got pictures of it and it seems like top notch work.

GSR being automatic was his only concern against keeping the car!! So now he is definitely keeping it. Car will do 13's easily.

Should be here next week.

Will take pics during the swap.

Started collecting things for the Evo5

I recently got an Openport 2.0 cable from Tactrix, I adjusted the rev limit on the stock rom to 4000rpm and flashed the ECU, and it works.

Here and ready to bolt on:
Megan SS Oxygen sensor housing
Ported Evo5 Manifold

In-transit:
PTE 880cc Injectors
GSC S1 268 in / 268 ex cams
Timing belt tensioner tool

Considering:
ETS 3.5" Core FMIC
Muse Upper and Lower intercooler piping

Merely testing out the cable, adjusted it to 4000rpm to see if I could get the openport 2 to flash the evo5 ecu properly, then I set it right back to normal and flashed the ECU again. Haven't done much logging as yet, waiting to get all the parts on before I bother to scale the new injectors and adjust the fuel/ignition maps.
