Fellas... Braking problem with my pug... there's a horrible grinding noise coming from the front left of the car when braking... it's intermittent but happens more often than not...

NOONE has been able to diagnose the problem... Not even City Motors...

So... what I want to know is if any of you'll have had similar problems and have solved them or if not what brake setups have been used instead of the OEM setups...

Oh yeah... This problem has been happening for years but only recently have I been given the green light to begin my project...

What disc pads are you using?
I had a problem similar to this and it was because the disc pads were touching the outer edge of the rotor...that rough part. You can check this by checking the disc pad itself for lines on the outer edge. I just grinded off the offending edge of the pad with a grinder and that sorted out the problem.

hmmmm... i'll check to see if it is rubbing... but I'm using OEM brake pads so that should not be the case...

yep... they both would have had input on the car...

as i said i only just got the green light to go ahead and work on it... basically it was handed over to me so I wasn't following the entire slew of maintainence that has been done... (car was in an accident etc.)

i do know that they would have had input though... but i guess it can't hurt to check them again or verify that information...
