AEM Introduces its DRYFLOW Synthetic Air Filter for its BRUTE FORCE Intake Systems- the FIRST Reusable Dry Performance Air Filter That Never Needs Oil!

CA-AEM is proud to introduce a revolution in performance air filtration technology-the DRYFLOW Synthetic air filter! This new filter media technology is ONLY available from AEM!

AEM's DRYFLOW Synthetic filter eliminates the hassle of re-oiling after cleaning, and is independently-tested to have better filtration and dust trapping capabilities than any other performance aftermarket filter on the market. Our unique non-woven polyester element filters out 98.6% of airborne dust in initial efficiency (99.4% cumulative efficiency), and filters down to ONE MICRON of particulate! This improved efficiency translates into longer engine life, with unmatched filtration and equal performance when compared to our traditional cotton gauze.

Our DRYFLOW Synthetic filter looks different from a traditional performance filter by design. Don't you hate it when the mesh screen of a filter gets damaged, affecting the looks-and potentially the performance-of your filter element? Instead of a mesh screen to hold the pleat forms, we reinforced the element with a lightweight mineral-reinforced plastic cage that resides inside the filter element, maintains the element's structural integrity and eliminates the chance of the filter collapsing from flow demands while also reducing the filter's overall weight. Our filter can take a few bumps and still look and perform like new!

The DRYFLOW Synthetic filter is cleanable AND retains the same great efficiency after cleaning. The DRY media will not blow through after cleaning like many oiled elements. Our media is so durable that it can withstand almost unlimited cleanings without degrading filtration efficiency, and it's easy to clean! The DRYFLOW synthetic media is hydrophobic (resists water absorption), so there is less drying time, and since you never have to oil it, AEM's DRYFLOW filter technology reduces cleaning time by approximately 90%. Because there is no oiling, the DRYFLOW Synthetic filter maintains virtually the same performance in efficiency and flow throughout its life. In testing by an independent laboratory ( visit www.aempower.com for a pdf of the test results) you can compare the filtration efficiency between a new and cleaned AEM DRYFLOW Synthetic filter. Due to the superior fine-dust filtering efficiency of the DRYFLOW Synthetic filter, it may require slightly more cleaning intervals than oiled filters depending on your driving conditions.

The independent laboratory tested each filter to SAE J-796 (ISO 5011:2000 using PTI SAE/ISO Fine Test Dust) test standards. Initial efficiency indicates a clean filter, and cumulative efficiency is the average efficiency for the entire test. In the corresponding graph, notice that the DRYFLOW Synthetic filter performed at significantly higher efficiency initially, and continued to outperform the competition, maintaining efficiency throughout the test. Why is this important? Our competitors claim that as the filter gets dirty, it filters more efficiently. While this is true, what they don't tell you is that their clean filter lets dirt through until it traps enough to become efficient! Get the best filtration the first time with AEM BRUTE FORCE intakes and the DRYFLOW Synthetic filter.

Since AEM's DRYFLOW Synthetic filter never needs oiling, it eliminates the possibility of voiding your vehicle's warranty from over oiling. Anyone who has ever owned an oiled, cotton-gauze filter can tell you that over-oiling after cleaning is a possibility. Manufacturers have metering systems that apply the exact amount of oil necessary to new cotton-gauze filters, but squeeze and spray bottles commonly used to re-oil these filters after cleaning can lead to accidental over-oiling, which can damage a vehicle's Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) if the oil is pulled along the inlet onto the MAF.

AEM's DRYFLOW Synthetic filter flows almost as well when it is dirty as it does when it is clean, and flows over twice as much air than is required for large displacement engines in vehicle applications covered by BRUTE FORCE intakes. "Many of our competitors emphasize flow as a primary means of power production in intakes," stated Chief Engineer John Concialdi. "While flow is certainly an important part of the equation, we find that tuning the inlet to work with the harmonics of the engine produces the best power gains. We address flow in the sense that the engine requires a given amount of flow, so we calculate our filter size to exceed this flow requirement to accommodate potential future engine modifications. This allows us to retain a high level of filtration efficiency and still exceed the flow requirements of an engine. Our filters will trap more dirt, and consequently extend the life of the rings and seals in your engine." The corresponding graph shows the flow requirements of various engines compared to the DRYFLOW Synthetic filter's flow capabilities when clean and dirty. The DRYFLOW Synthetic filter gives you the best of both-consistent flow and superior efficiency in clean and dirty conditions.

DRYFLOW Synthetic Filter Features:
- The DRYFLOW Synthetic filter's unique non-woven polyester filter media is independently tested at over 98% initial filtration efficiency (99.4% cumulative efficiency) based on SAE J276 JUN93 Fine Dust Air Cleaner Test Code procedures. Oiled filter initial efficiency is typically 90% to 95% efficient.
- The DRYFLOW Synthetic filter delivers superior filtration and equal performance (compared to an oiled filter)
- AEM's unique non-woven filter media never needs oil! This means less down time between cleanings and no more chance of over-oiling.
- A neutral gray filter color complements our mirror-polished and silver powdercoat finishes, and hides the dirt that it keeps out of your engine.
- A mineral reinforced plastic interior cage increases structural rigidity-it's virtually impossible to collapse, even on Diesels! No mesh screen means no more filter damage from bumps during installation or cleaning and no corrosion damage.
- Element is cleanable and is Guaranteed for Life! (Filter Cleaning Solution included)
- Will NOT void your vehicle's warranty!

COMING SOON! AEM is developing the DRYFLOW filter technology for ALL AEM intake systems!

Combine the best and FIRST dry performance filter with the most powerful intake system on the market and the choice is clear! AEM BRUTE FORCE-the most powerful intakes just got better.
