looks like we got a bad batch
almost the entire beam under the front wall, most of the front porch, extending across living room and into master bedroom Sad
The concrete company is going through great lengths to repair it, hassle free

the yellow area indicates the portion of floor in question
the red line indicates the nearest beam. Our engineers have recommended we remove 2/3 of the floor, leaving the third nearest to the beam
The job requires removing all the concrete, exposing the steel, and recasting the floor. The walls will have to come down as well Sad
looking at minimum 2 months setback (optimistic), with one month gone already

Crap... that sucks man. On the bright side, at least you caught it now instead of 6 months after moving in. Plus the concrete company is taking care of the problem so that is positive.

So which is more frustrating? Building a house or owning an english car?

the contractor supposed to start demolition work on Tuesday
They have given me a 5 week timeline
Anything outside of this and I will be forced to take legal action
Right now this thing has cost me 3 months rent plus another month rent for the rework
Plus more rent for waiting on the roofing man to schedule me now..........none of which I've made an issue over
but if they keep dragging, I will have no choice, cuz materials have gone up since this crap started
