Zorce in Orlando!

I finally got to Orlando at around 11:30 last night� after some drama rounders with Bwee to get here too! Because all the flights to FL were totally booked till the 17th, I had to take a flight to Guyana first, run through immigration & customs, tax and the departure lounge and get back on the SAME plane, now leaving for MIA from GUY - via Barbados too!

After renting a car and making phone calls for directions, I got lost in Ft. Lauderdale looking for my Aunt's house. I finally found it not via the directions given to me which I got confused with; but rather because I spotted a UPS Van in the Burger King parking lot and got me a burger while getting a clue in from the UPS guys. There are practically NO payphones on Sample Road in Ft. Lauderdale� very wierd but true!

This was compounding the fact that I forgot my Budget Car Rental Florida Map in the Chevron gas station QuickShoppe counter while buying Gatorade, Red Bull and a King size snickers (hmmm...). Crazily, after going back to the place and asking the cashier to check for me (in futility) and buying another (much more detailed) map I spotted my original one in the bin!!! I grabbed it, tore off the soggy piece and kept the bit that I wrote down ALL my directions on.

How's that for re-zorce-fullness??? Very Happy

I had been up since 2am yesterday morning and so I was pretty much exhausted when I got to my Uncle's house in Orlando. Somehow kaveshla ended up in Orlando with Talonted so they popped in as soon as I got there, which was tr�s cool. At least she was able to collect her shipment of curry goat etc. from our mom!

So of course after all the greetings I just wanted a shower and a bed.

The good part is that I made a visit before all that action took place and had a successful mini-meeting with the marketing rep from Bertram Boats in Miami. They seem very interested... The Chrysler Sebring convertible rental car wasn't bad either, even at 90mph with the top down, just don't even think about reading a map at that point Laughing

On the way up I saw some cool rides.. no pics though. I spotted a Maserati V8 4 door, a Lambo Murcielago, and H3 and numerous 'vettes, 'stangs etc. Ganesh took me around and we got some MADD pics!
