306 shocks problem

i threaded down the shocks but i getting a loud knocking from them when i driving
wat could be causing this

Loud noise all the time or when you hit something like a bump?

How long u have the shocks for?

I SOLVED IT I USED 2 WASHERS TO ACT AS A SPACER AND TIGHTENED IT DOWN AND IT STOPPED
