In the early days of sound offf
I used to compete in the 250 watt class
I have beaten competitors in 500 watt class with only 250 watts.
This is a category that I would like to see come back _________________ Livng life one day at a time

How does one rate the WATTS for competing, RMS or PMPO etc.?
I use 1 Legacy Red Series 2 which is Max 1600 but the RMS is below 500. I've had the system installed by professionals for quality rather than just power. _________________ Boosted Baby!

rating for power................
we use the 4 ohm power rating of the amplifier not the MAX or PEAK power output |

Shazad, the 4 ohm power rating on the amplifier, can that also be measured in Peak or RMS? Or is it that manufacturers stick to one way of quoting the 4 ohm rating on an amp?
Actually I think a good idea for an article would be the difference between the RMS rating and Peak power rating of any audio amplifier. |
