don't bother
even if u can find a good SLR locally, you'd pay too much
best to buy online if u travel, or get someone to bring back something for you
even if you pay shippingh and tax to bring one in, you still come out better than shopping locally

yeah my aunt is coming in january so i am by passing taxes and duties. However the current camera has a prob which needs to be fixed on this new camera, the problem with the current camera in continuous shooting mode the screen blanks out as a result i cannot aim at moving targets e.g. rc trucks, rc boats, rallying. I would like to find out the Nikon 40D or any other slr camera eliminates this problem. Hence the reason i was looking for a local store to check out the camera
